A man died in police custody after being subdued with a Taser.

Police say they arrested the man after a fight in Raton on Friday.

Officers say the suspect was so combative they had to electrically shock him.

Police transported the man to the detention center. But when they arrived, he was dead.

State police say an autopsy is pending.
